Materials
Precious & exclusive materials,
made primarily in France,
respectful of the Earth & animal welfare
Respect for the Earth implies a commitment at each stage of the creation of products, from the choice of raw materials at the end of life of the products, in order to minimize the negative impact on the environment as much as possible.
This is called eco-design.
The approach and the choices that 3.8 ALLEE FAUVE currently offers is the fruit of many months of research, studies, punctuated by frustrations not to find perfect materials or solutions, but also great joys of meeting craftsWomen, entrepreneurs, companies, teachers et coaches animated by the same desire for greater respect for the Earth.
It’s a “work in progress”.
3.8 ALLEE FAUVE will not stop there, and continues its watch and its research in all areas, so that its impact is increasingly positive, and to respond better and better to the missions that the brand has given to itself.
Committed precious leather
Precious leather, ultra confidential, of very high quality, made-in-France and very committed to the environment, this marine leather combines superlatives. A favorite of eco-fashionistas, it is a true eco- and bio-responsible revolution in the sphere of luxurious leathers.
First precious leather resulting from the upcycling of skins harvested from local restaurants, marine leather does not require raising and killing an exotic animal only for its skin.
The intrinsic qualities of the skin and its vegetable tanning give it exceptional robustness, a woody smell, and drastically reduce its environmental footprint compared to mineral-tanned leather.
Peaceful Silk
Only silk in the world that does not require killing butterflies in their cocoons by scalding them. A small hole is made in the silk cocoon so that the butterfly can come out of it.
Also called “ahimsa” silk – which means “non-violent” in Sanskrit -, this very exclusive silk is made by a group of Indian women, who thus gain their financial independence.
White silks are the natural color of silk cocoons. The other colors are made with vegetable dyes.
Seaqual
Fabrics made with SEAQUAL® YARN contain 10% upcycled marine plastic and 90% post-consumer plastic from land-based sources.
Upcycled marine plastic is made from marine waste collected from our oceans by fishermen, and from our beaches.
3.8 ALLEE FAUVE is a member of the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE. It works with NGOs, fishermen, communities, authorities, industry and brands to bring value from marine plastic pollution.

Ethical jewellery
The jewelry is palladium and gold plated with 3 micron gold. This gilding, most precious, guarantees the longevity of your jewelery over several generations.
The gold is made from recycled gold and RJC-certified ethical gold, ensuring the gold is sourced from practices that are respectful of people and the environment.
In addition, our Parisian gilder has implemented several eco-responsible processes, including the circulation of water and solvents in a closed circuit.
The jewelry is made of 100% brass. Brass was chosen because it is the alloy that emits the least greenhouse gases.
With the exception of the keyrings and the collar of the semi-precious stones, the jewelery and its gilding are made in Paris.
Dormant stocks
and
Single-fibre
To allow our materials to be recycled, we only choose single-fiber materials, such as 100% silk. Because the mixtures of fibers make their recycling extremely difficult, if not impossible.
In order to make maximum use of existing resources, and minimize the environmental footprint linked to the production of materials, we favor luxury dormant stocks. But here again, the key words are : transparency and single-fiber, a very restrictive criterion (the mixture of fibers being the norm) which greatly restricts the choice of materials – when it does not reduce it to zero!
